These words stare at me as I work in my studio.
"If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it's not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That's why it's your path." Joseph Campbell. I saw this on another blog at http://janedavies-collagejourneys.blogspot.co.uk/ and it completely ties in with my current thought.
Recently I heard that the word 'manna' literally means 'what is it?' The Israelites wondered through the dessert not knowing where they were going, eating 'what is it'. Their position was to trust that they were on their way to the promised land and they had everything they needed to get them there.
As I look at my own journey in painting and discovery, I know I need to recognise that 'what is it,' is an ok emotion to have so that I can trust that this place is taking me to a place of greater revelation. I will continue to hunger for more, dreaming of advancing into new territory.
These are new experiments where I am working more with increasing textures-really fun.
