Eighteen months ago I made a big change to my life. The best ever. I gave up a nursing career to pursue art fully. Eighteen months on I can't say I have made vast sums of money but am increasingly finding a richness to life and know this is where I am supposed to be.
The paintings I have made since then I have given titles as I have gone along. The other day I wrote the titles down in the order I painted them. What I read back to myself shocked me.
Lay down, there is peace, there are green and quiet pastures forever.
There is hope, as when the Sun is before you the Shadows are behind you.
The reason for life is joy. Keep reaching for the Son. You are called to fly.
Go out with joy, you'll be led into a whole and complete life. The mountains and the hills will lead the parade, bursting into song. The trees of the forest will join in the procession and they will clap their hands. You take me to heavenly places. You make my heart sing, and you take me into a place of singing a new song.
The wind of the Spirit is blowing, but where will it take you little seed.
These paintings are the ones that are from the beginning and end of the period described. Above top is Green pastures forever, and below it 'The Wind is blowing, but where will it take you little seed.'
Just been reading your blog and it's really great. I need to follow my own path and destiny but that is so hard. This year I have and am following Jane Davies path and hope to stumble on my own destiny on the way. Look forward to seeing you there.
